    "Emergency Action Plans"

ABOUT THE EVENT:  This is part of our PCHRA 2024 Health and Safety Learning Series. We are partnering with the Portage County Safety Council to provide business owners, HR and Health & Safety professionals an understanding of the 2024 topcis related to workplace safety.

This month the focus is on building a successful workers compensation program. We will cover requirements and considerations for OSHA standard 1910.38 Emergency Action Plans. The purpose of the presentation will not be solely focused on what you have to do, but why you should do it, and why emergency planning is important for the safety and continuity of your business and employees.

For this event, participants can learn and earn 1 SHRM PDC.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER: Ryan Shackelford, Director, The Portage County Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management (PC OHS/EM).  Ryan Shackelford has been the director of the Portage County Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management since 2014.
