As the candidate pool shrinks and competition for top talent increases, organizations must find  ways to differentiate themselves by engaging and growing talent from within. Organizations know employees want to see a visible path for promotion and skill development, but more than half admit they don’t clearly show paths for advancement.

About the Presentation: This month we welcome Carla Fitzpatrick, Executive Director, HR and Technology at Audio-Technica Stow, Ohio. Carla will discuss how you can encourage your employees to develop core competencies as a foundation to career paths focused on learning opportunities and future organizational need. From this presentation, you will learn how to:

    • Gain support and direction from top leadership.
    • Align competencies to the core values of the organization.
    • Look at strategic goals to understand the future skills needed.
    • Set clear competency definitions at each organizational level.
    • Develop a rating scale to determine when training or development activities are needed.
