    On behalf of The Portage County Safety Council, PCHRA invites you to join PCSC's  August Meeting titled: OSHA Updates


    ABOUT THE EVENT:  This is part of our PCHRA 2023 Health and Safety Learning Series. We are partnering with the Portage County Safety Council to provide business owners, HR and Health & Safety professionals an understanding of the 2023 OSHA regulations and  procedures.  Learning objectives for this session:

    • OSHA updates,

    • OSHA emphasis programs,

    • Injury and fatality trends, and

    • What’s coming down the road

    For this event, participants can learn and earn 1 SHRM PDC.

    ABOUT THE SPEAKER: Howie Eberts, Director, Cleveland Area OSHA.  Howie Eberts, OSHA Area Director, oversees the Cleveland Area Office, an OSHA enforcement office with 28 people, including 17 Compliance Officers and two Whistleblower Investigators. The Cleveland Area Office is one of four OSHA Area Offices in Ohio, with Toledo, Columbus, and Cincinnati, and it covers twelve counties in the northwest corner of the State.Started with OSHA as a Compliance Officer (Industrial Hygienist) in the Columbus Area Office in 1988. He conducted a wide variety of safety and health enforcement inspections, including worker fatality investigations. His areas of expertise include health hazard exposure to workers and chemical process safety management.
